

Once downloaded, the software can be used in a standalone PC, Mac or a Linux workstation. SAS University Edition provides easy access to statistical software for research and other courses like economics, social sciences, computer science, business, medical, health and engineering. SAS University Edition is a free version of select SAS products for teaching and learning statistics and quantitative methods. Note: Some technical help can be found on the SAS Technical Support web page.Under the education initiative, SAS Analytics U, launched Free SAS software for higher education called SAS University Edition. Re-installation is not required unless the user needs a newer version than the one they currently have. User must get password from the Software Center by filling out another agreement.

Please fill out the Student SAS Order Form and indicate how you would prefer to receive the software (or, if you only need the renewal codes, choose that option). SAS requires at least 33 GB free on the media. It is also possible to copy it onto a flash drive or external drive this will require contacting the Software Center to arrange dropping off the media, and then 2-3 days to copy the software onto your media. The SAS software is provided as a download. This license allows the student to install it on their personal computer. The SAS License is available free of charge to Texas A&M students. SAS will run on any edition of Windows 10, including Home edition. For Windows 7 or 8, SAS requires Windows Pro, Enterprise, Education, or Ultimate eidtions.
